Pivot (& Thrive)
Pre-COVID I was pursuing theatre full time. In the midst of a 4 month contract of Kinky Boots, the world stopped. With things looking bleak, I decided not to stand still.
Pivot.
I began to help out the family business. Two years later and my small part-time desk job had grown into a full time, multi-faceted role where I interacted with employees regularly. I loved it, but I still wanted to perform.
Pivot.
Back to auditioning. Back to signing contracts. Except, I declined them.
Pivot.
To our delight, my husband and I welcomed our first child in April 2022.
Pivot.
This is my biggest pivot yet and we are still adjusting. But with every new pivot and direction comes the choice to pursue it to the fullest. It is my choice, and I am choosing to pivot and thrive.
